How does Fathomly work?
Paste a YouTube link or pick a topic and Fathomly builds a structured learning path of 40 short nodes. Each node teaches one idea and checks you understood it, then spaced review brings ideas back later so they actually stick. Finish the path and you can take The Defense, a full topic exam.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Fathomly Scholar is an auto-renewing subscription billed by Apple. Open Settings in the app and tap Manage subscription, or on your iPhone go to Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Fathomly and tap Cancel Subscription. You keep access until the end of the period you already paid for.
How do I restore a purchase?
Sign in with the same Apple ID that bought the subscription, open Settings in the app and tap Restore purchases. If it still doesn't appear, email us and include the Apple ID email you purchased with.
How do I delete my account?
Open Settings → Delete account in the app. This permanently removes your account and your learning data. Deleting your account does not cancel an Apple subscription — cancel that separately in your Apple ID settings.
Something isn't working. What should I do?
Close and reopen the app, check your internet connection, and make sure you're on the latest version from the App Store. If a lesson or video won't load, try again in a moment — generation occasionally times out. Still stuck? Email us with your device model, iOS version and what you were doing, and we'll get back to you.

If you are a video creator, a rights holder or their authorised representative and you object to your content being used as the basis for a Fathomly learning path, email j25fts@gmail.com with the subject line Content objection.

Please include:

  • the video link or channel URL concerned;
  • confirmation that you own the content or are authorised to act for the owner;
  • your name and contact details;
  • whether you want the content blocked from future use, existing paths removed, or both.

What we do:

  • we acknowledge your email within 2 working days;
  • we complete our action within 5 working days of acknowledgement;
  • we block the video or channel from being used in Fathomly going forward;
  • we delete the AI-generated summary derived from it, and any learning paths built from it;
  • we keep a dated record of the request and the action taken, and confirm to you in writing.

Fathomly does not store video transcripts. A transcript is held only in memory for the length of a single request and is never written to our storage; we retain only original, AI-written material about the subject matter. No verbatim transcript text is stored, shown to learners or redistributed.
